Mr. Hari L Mundra

A rank holder both in B.A. Hons and M.B.A., Mr. Hari Mundra has 50 years of extensive industrial experience, both in India and Indonesia. He began his career in 1971 in Hindustan Unilever Ltd and was the youngest member of its Board as the Vice President and Executive Director in charge of Exports at the time he left them in 1995. As a Management Board Member of RPG Group, he was the Group Chief Financial Officer as well as the President and Chief Executive of Carbon Black Business till 2001. In 2002, he joined Wockhardt Group as the Executive Vice Chairman. In 2003, he became the Deputy Managing Director and Finance Director of Essar Oil and was responsible for its resurrection. Post his superannuation, he has been the Senior Advisor to Hospira, USA for their Indian acquisitions and the Global Financial Advisor to Wockhardt Group for their turnaround. He has been the Visiting Professor at IIM, Ahmedabad for the last 13 years. Deeply engaged with the social sector, he led the turnaround of Indian Cancer Society and continues as its Hon Chairman. He is also the Founder Vice President of another NGO viz Society for Complementary Therapies.

Mrs. Usha Thorat

Usha completed her BA (honours) in Economics from Delhi University's Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) in 1969 and her MA with first class first from Delhi School of Economics in 1971. She joined LSR as a lecturer in 1971 and left to join RBI in 1972 as a probationary officer.

In RBI Usha's areas of expertise were financial markets debt management financial inclusion and banking regulation. In 2005, she was appointed as Deputy Governor of RBI, a post she held for five years till November 2010. After stepping down from RBI, Usha became the first Director of the Centre for Advanced Financial Research (CAFRAL) , an organisation set up by RBI as a centre of excellence for research and learning.

Post her retirement from RBI, Usha has served on several important RBI appointed committees.

In March 2015, Usha became the first Chairman of the Financial Benchmarks India Ltd. (FBIL). From October 2015 till 2018, she was the Chairman of the Clearing Corporation of India Ltd. In April 2016, she joined the Board of Sanofi India Ltd as an independent director where she continues. In 2017, she joined the Fund Trustee Advisory Commission (FTAC) of the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board as a member and stepped down in April 2023. She assumed Chair of the Mutual Funds Advisory Committee of the Securities Exchange Board of India in July 2020 where she continues.

Usha is active in the not -for- profit sector. She is the Honorary Secretary and Managing Trustee of the Indian Cancer Society and heads its Cancer Cure Fund. She chairs the Lotus Medical Foundation Kolhapur which works on HIV/AIDS issues. She was Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Foundation for Ecological Security from 2016 till June 2023; thereafter continues as a member of the Governing Board.

Usha's other interests include birdwatching, yoga and gardening.

Dr. Vinay Deshmane

Dr. Vinay Deshmane has done MS, DBB, FRCS (Glasgow), MD (London), FICS. He has over 25 years of experience in surgical oncology. He has an experience in working as Surgical Oncologist in Guys Hospital, London, UK and Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Currently he is a Surgical Oncologist in Breach Candy, P. D. Hinduja and Asian Institute of Oncolgy, Mumbai.

Mr. Kewal Nohria

An electrical engineer from BHU and a management graduate from Manchester Technical College (UK), Mr. Kewal Nohria has been associated with the Electrical Industry and has held senior positions with a number of organizations, one of them being Chairman and Managing Director of Crompton Greaves Ltd. He has also been a president of ASSOCHAM, IIEMA, Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mr. M. K. Sharma

He has a work experience of over 45 years as a Corporate Lawyer, over 25 years as a Board member/Independent director in leading Indian Companies and MNCs. He was the Vice Chairman of Hindustan Unilever Limited from the year 2000 to 2007. At present he is a management and Legal Consultant.

Mr. Naveen Kshatriya

A Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Khargpur, Mr. Naveen Kshatriya is a Founder of Kshatriya Ventures and serves as its Managing Partner. He served as Managing Director of Castrol India Ltd. He served as Regional Vice President and Head of BP Castrol’s Automotive Lubricants Business in Asia and the Pacific region including India, China the Middle East, and Australia. He worked at Unilever for 23 years.
